I managed to drop a small socket when fitting removing the old air filter unit for the Viper induction kit. It dropped into the undertray, I can hear it vibrating, is it easy to remove the undertray to get this out????

Pretty straightforward (just a load of screws). Hardest part is access cos you'll need to jack it up.

why dont you just accellerate hard on a steep uphill, and get the socket to roll backwards on the trays, then easily fished/swiped out?!? ...happened to me a zillion times... :D
