I've done that, but only lasts one winter - not so easy to do the next time...or the next etcI asked the guy at Sinclaire's today (in for geo and 10.9's) and he also said it was a PITA job and showed me just how much I'd have to be replacing. My interest waned somewhat at this point. He said that sticking back all the loose bit (top of screen) with sikaflex may well be what I really want to do

I sikaflexed mine back on but after totally cleaning all the old stuff off, very thoroughly and preparing the surfaces. Touch wood it has been ok so far.

Right then, here are the part numbers and prices (VAT to be added!)
Is this everything need for the front roof seal, door seals and rollbar seal?

Lotus rear/roll bar seal is too long. I fitted one a few weeks back and had to cut a section out from the centre of the rear seal (also too long at either end but it's no problem to trim either end). Still works perfectly well but was a bit disconcerting to have to get the sharp knife, cut it in half and remove a small section - just need to be very accurate to make sure the two halves butt together tightly.

If those prices are excluding VAT and delivery, then including VAT it comes to £148.65 - more than £12 than the Autovaux price for VXT seals? Or am I missing something?

How can it be too long?
I thought they used same soft top so how can the seal be a different length or am I just being thickprobably being thick lol
Must be fractionally different - the hard top is. When you get the rear seal, there are two little bits that stick out and poke up underneath the B pillar trim just below the the hard/soft top mountig bracket. If you stick these bits into place and stick the seal down along it's natural path, it's fractionally too long and you get a bit in the middle that wont stick down. I just had to slice through it and shave a few mm off to get it to seat properly. Didn't even need any glue to fill the join as it was that tight, just put a small length of smaller rubber hose into the two hollow sections to join them (as is done where the rear seals meet the front seals towards the front of the door aperture). Tested it thoroughly and no leaks (at that point at least).

The front seal alone from VX was circa £150 when I got it from TMS. No idea what the rear seal cost (as I wrongly assumed it was all one part) so, then had to get the rear seal (which isn't on Mandarin's invoice).

In the cupboard waiting for lazybones me to fit it
Took me a year to summon up the courage to fit the front seal. Only did it because the old seal was in such a state that even sikaflex wouldn't rescue it. Was actually very easy to do, much to my surprise.

There are some pictures showing the differences between the seals whilst I was fitting it in this thread
Hi, I'm currently wanting to replace my front seal, do you still own the car and how has it held up? You said you used gunk near the cups, do you recommend using silkaflex also or just the provided double sided tape?

Sikaflex is forbidden in this house after all the gunk that has been used on my car. Use tape.

Holy thread resurrection I guess! My windscreen screen is leaking (top of the A post and then dripping down both door windows onto the sill) and so have looked at the parts needed - looks like several have been upgraded but here is the list and new prices which now comes to £267.19 including postage from SJ Sportcars. Anyone know if these will still work on the VX (as they have new part numbers/updates)
