My mate sold his M reg Griff 500 (last one on page 3 in the classified on pistonheads) couple of weeks ago to a guy from Sweden. Got very close to the asking price. The guy viewed 4 cars 1 of which was my mates. All the others were considerably newer than his but his was by far the best example. TVR dealer told me the griff 500 is the most reliable engined TVR and they have very few problems. I mentioned in a previous post that he had problems with the clutch on his car but it turned out to be because he bought an uprated clutch and didn't uprate anything else so it damaged bushes causing juddering when pulling away. Replaced bushes and put normal clutch in and nofurther problems. The griff 500 is a lovely car and a lovely sound but it all depends on how well looked after it is and if it is just left in the garage or actually driven regularly. He only sold because he needed the money and is already gutted and missing it.
