Anyone tried the OEM wheel centres in the Speedlinealikes? Do they fit? If like you would prefer something a little smaller than the compomotive ones supplied what did you go for?

Not sure about the standard caps, the Comp ones are 2.5" I think  They list a couple of pressed alloy altrernatives on their website, available in blue and natural finish; these are not as pronounced as the standard plastic ones

Related question. I now have KU31's all round on Speedlinealikes. Only thing is I haven't the foggiest idea what tyre pressure to use. 205/45/16 and 225/45/17 XL 87W I used to run Bridgeies on 22 front and 24 rear as that seemed to be what everyone else said that's what you should do. And to be fair they worked pretty well with a fair amount of front end bite. I have started with 24 front and 26 rear on the Ku31's just because the fronts are wider so maybe need a bit more support. TBH the front feels a bit light, less bump steer and perhaps a bit less bite than before. So in best Bruce Forsyth tradition do I go higher or lower. What does the team think? MartinS you had them for a while what did you run? All opinions welcome.

If it feels light lower the pressures a bit more thumbsup I'm running 22/24 on the V70's (dropped to 20/22 for track) What sort of geo have you got (ie neutral / aggressive) :)

I'll try that. It's always easier to let some out than pump more in. Just realised you joined roughly a year before me but have 10 times as many posts!!! Imnotworthy and I thought I spent too much time on here!!!

If anyone still wants a set, in black, I've just put mine up for sale in the 'car parts for sale' section, they are brand new and still at compomotive just waiting for an address to ship them to, 600 quid if anyone wants'em. If there is no movement on them I'll throw them on ebay at a later date. Manderinvx, thanks for the effort, unfortunately I was the weakest link in the 'enthusiasm' chain, I'm just too lazy to bother getting them fitted and delivered, you however did a sterling job for all involved. H P.S. My first born, Harrison, arrived a very healthy 9lbs and one ounce the other day, as you can imagine I quite chuffed.

They should sell pretty quick - Comp had a couple of sets back a while back, but they are at the normal retail price of £725

There are only two sets. Petrolhead has the other. I think his car is blue?

since I've already got speedlaines on the VXR though you guys might like to see them side by side

only noticeable difference so far is that the 17" rears have a 1" bigger diameter dish into which the wheel bolts sit

I'll get some comparison weights up when the A039s come off my speedlines

Pics below, Speedlines on the car, Speedlinealikes resting next to them

Compomotives weight in at

8Kg Front
10Kg Rear

Vs a calculated weight for the Speedlines of

front 11Kg
rear 12Kg

which is pretty impressive

I'll get absolute weights for the speedlines when I get the tyres off

well I got teh A039s moved over to teh Compomotives last night so now can get teh speedlines refurbed

looks liek my estimate was spot on as weighed on teh same scales as above the speedlines came out at

11kg Front and
12Kg rear

hope that helps
