I have a set of speedlinealikes. Does anyone have marks (dust or pits) under the paint on each wheel? RGds VX

The dish / inner rim has the natural cast finish, but it stands out a bit more against the machined front face and outer rim, this shouldn't be the case on the front face (spokes of the wheel) tho

mine do too - they look pretty rough and ready on close inspection to be honest, I was going to have a moan but then you need to be up close to notice anything on wheels, and after a week of brake dust you'd hardly notice anyway...

The Td's have a much better finish, although the balance of them was pretty poor. Yet to have tyres fitted to these so will see what kind of balance they have before weighting/balancing.

Still happy I bought them though, and grateful for the effort put in by others!

The machining helps to greatly reduce tolerances you'd get with cast only, hence balancing is much better - both my fronts balanced with only a 5 gram weight on each - and that was with the tyres fitted! :)

good quality rubber is also a massive contributing factor to this though!

since I've already got speedlaines on the VXR though you guys might like to see them side by side

only noticeable difference so far is that the 17" rears have a 1" bigger diameter dish into which the wheel bolts sit

I'll get some comparison weights up when the A039s come off my speedlines

Pics below, Speedlines on the car, Speedlinealikes resting next to them

Compomotives weight in at

8Kg Front
10Kg Rear

Vs a calculated weight for the Speedlines of

front 11Kg
rear 12Kg

which is pretty impressive

I'll get absolute weights for the speedlines when I get the tyres off
