Spoke to Compomotive today: They will make one full set of spares, ie two of each, which will be sold individually when/if required - he was quick to point out that they are effectively rally spec wheels, so if an impact were severe enough to cause irrepairable damage there would likely be severe damage to the surrounding suspension mounts! He has confirmed that the size casting can (and will) be removed from the face of both the front and rear alloys I also asked to check that existing bolts will fit fine - he said they would - the wheel bolt holes are machined down to a datum taken from the hub face, so will be the same as OEM thumbsup So... 7 more sets :poke: :)

I wish you lot would hurry up and close this group buy, you have no idea how close I am to getting a set, it's killing me!! Problem is I'm away for 'a while' in a couple of weeks and hence can't be around to complete the deal/recieve the wheels. If anyone gets a set and decides they would look better on my S/C and they need a few quid pm me around christmas and i'll snap yer arm off! or Manderian, if you need to sell your 6 spokes...

I'm happy to hold the funds for you if you like, and store the wheels if 'a while' is unpredictable- let me know before you go away chinky chinky

How much would we be looking for a full set of tyres aswell. I'm not sure the what the tyre of choice is at the moment. Avons or Yokos maybe. Could a group buy be arranged on some tyres too.

I heard at the L2B that a full set of Kumho's (had good reviews on here) can be had for as little as £200 a set, tho I had a very quick look round and £250 was the cheapest I could see Then there are Toyo T1R's that should come out around £325 fitted Then you move up to R888 / A048 territory There have also been good review of the Goodyear Eagles recently, which seem to come out fairly cheap too

Yeah thats a good idea as I really want some but just cannot afford them at the moment so if more were available at a later date would be great.

The casting run will done in one go - ie 31 sets cast in one go, hence need to secure them pre-production - unless anyone knows anyone / company that would be prepared to buy 5 sets and sell them on later

Well it all depends on the final five :D - They will take 4-6 weeks to make, so if you pay the 50% deposit up front, then the remainder on delivery, should work out fine thumbsup

Might still be worth having the converstion with them to say that there are 25 interested parties. If it were me and i was prepared to cast for 31 i would probably do it for 26.
