I was at Cadwell last week with Guy in the car with me. I was following a radical closely (the driver obviously was not an expert!) & pushing my car fast into & out of corners. Then in my rear view mirror, from nowhere a Trick Evo race car appeared, I moved over and as he passed both his drainpipe size exhaust pipes let out an almighty fiery explosion and made us both jump out of our skin!...It was fast and was lapping faster than any other car by a big margin.

Guy also took me out in his car on the road and I was genuinely impressed at how quick it gathers speed, overtaking was just a 2 second affair.

At a LoT North Weald day I could not get the times of some of the Elises etc. there. Then Andy Walsh jumped in and got best time of the day and that included 80kg ballast (me!). I'm convinced so much is down to the driver. That said, he knocked off another 2.5 seconds in a supercharged Elise.... ;)

the last trackday I did I was surprised to have a play with a mk1 gt3. It wasnt much quicker than me, and before my brakes bolied I was right with him! Back in the pit lanes he even pulled up next to me to say how impressed he was with the vx! Mine is totally standard too! He wasn't a particularly bad driver either as is quite a track regular! :groupjump: After that trackday I really fell in love with the vx!

Last year at a Bedford LoT day on the GT circuit I was surprised on the 1.1Km strait how crap at braking the Elise's and Exiges seemed to be, im no great driver by a long shot and the VX brakes arnt the best but they were breaking a hell of a lot earlier on the main strait thumbsdown

Had a short play with a Civic Type R who had "IT" under the bonnet. Mucho respect for that, in a straight line it just disappeared, really impressive - Warp 9 Mr Sulu!

I did a trackday recently at croft and spent the day playing with an RS4. We were bumper to bumper all day and luckily the owner was a good sport and took it well lol. To be fair I have done croft (and a bunch of other TD's) and it was his first time so I had an unfair advantage. But then he was 300 BHP up on me. All in all it was a great day. Having a playmate but playing safe made for a very enjoyable day out.
