Last time I looked into headunits for IPODs, I thought the best ones were Alpine XDA100, 200, 300 or the older XDA001 (which I have) as the headunit will scroll nicely through the IPOD as you do normally. Also I thought the sound was much better as it used a USB lead with these, unlike Pioneer and other Alpine units. I'm not totally sure on the technical details but I dont think you could go far wrong with one of these and certainly worth a look.

most people go with alpine, but my pioneer has not given me any problems, its not a usb connection but it is most certainly a data transfer type cable. It also connects to the iPod via the correct port on the bottom. Mine sounds ace thumbsup i only bough pioneer because i got it cheap and i had one previously and had no problems, the two alpine head units i have had started to lose thier minds!
