Opened up Oct 2008. PSR Automotive = Paul Roughan. Paul is a very nice and personable chap. He has a background in automotive engineering and working on sports cars.

He specialises in VX220's, Elises and Porsches.

Recently he did my 8 year service. I was impressed by the price and attention to detail. He uses Mobil 1 oil which I understand is pricey ... to say the least ;) Otherwise mine was treated to OEM plugs and filters. My old spark plus were rusty in places and looked awful and had big gaps. A new set of triple spark ones was most welcome!

I asked Paul to check the gearbox oil. It was low so he drained and refilled it, again at very reasonable cost. He also made me a nice breather for the box thumbsup.

As you may have read elsewhere, Paul also did a great job of fitting my 2.4 manifold and Milltek exhaust and did not charge for all the unforeseen hassely bits thumbsup.

He is going to be offering tuning upgrades for the VX220. Stage 1 will basically be a 2.4 and Milltek and Stages 2 & 3 are still under development - 2009 onwards I guess. Speak to Paul if you want more details.

I recommend Paul and will use him again. Here's a couple of pics of mine at his place:

Just seen this... Thank you for your kind words, Its been a pleasure working on your car and hope I can help in the future also... stage 2 and 3 both involve forced induction but these all still need developing. Thanks again Reset, nothing better then hearing (I guess technically reading) happy reviews :) All the best PSR

Paul did my 6th year service for me this morning. I can highly recommend him. Great service, great knowledge and at a very reasonable price. You can even watch DVDs, surf the net (or do some work) and eat some free biscuits while you wait! He was also extremely helpful in the process of sorting my front clam damage, which I greatly appreciated - I removed the damaged clam this afternoon, going in for repair next week, and so should be back on the road in a few weeks. I will certainly use PSR again thumbsup. Cheers Paul.

As much as I dont "Do" specialists, I took mine for its MOT... failed on pads being at some crazy low level, to which Paul had a look and they werent necessarily as low as claimed. All passed, top job. And as for talking the talk, not like it was a test, but he passed with flying colours :D PSR is now on "Stuarts list of automotive companies that arent bastards", although it was a close run thing as he washed the car lol

I got back tonight from Paul's at PSR. Very very nice chap, nothing too much trouble and I am incredibly picky about everything (my words, Paul would be too polite to say!!!) Anyway, work done was the 340R fast road Geo, good price and the car feels amazing, especially on roundabouts funnily enough. Definately going back for more work. Oh and Paul has the cleanest garage I've ever seen. Rob

I think the 340R geo is quite common, it's not actually all that aggressive :)

Not massively, but there is the 340R race geo aswell but given robs application (road with 1 or 2 track day, currently none, and as a daily commuter) this seemed to fit the bill.

Glad you can feel the difference :) the garage is what I would call messy!!!
