Transmission Fluid Level, Check and Correct

Thanks for that, very useful. Need to have a look at the breather arrangement on my NA as I use the car on track a lot.

My 2005 vxt has a cap over the breather on the gearbox, im not sure if this was vauxhalls official fix but my old NA didnt have it

My original Vauxhall gearbox breather had a white cap at the end. I always assumed it was vented.

yeh im sure its vented but my na didnt have this

both my NA and VXR had a small white clip-on cap - it wasnt tight and didnt have a seal so to speak so would allow the box to breathe

yeah they are standard. But oil can still get out.

you dont have to be spanking it to get the box to breath hard lol... I get it on the M25->M11 junction which is a selection of S bends to get through 90deg..... mmmmm gearbox oily lmao. Had it at the national too, oh and the ring... and I'm far from fast. I wonder when I'll ever be bothered to fix it
