I've not seen any discussion on here about whether it's possible to bore out or stroke the 2.2, pros and cons if it is etc.
Does anyone know about this?
A 2.4 n/a with cams, milltek, remap etc sounds like a good idea......

Surely if you increase the stroke you would have make the already low revving (in my opinion 
) engine less interesting...

bb what i had considered some time back was getting a stroker kit which would push the capacity upto 2.4/2.5l and the power along with it!
i am going down another route with the mods which hopefully will all be revealed at the g-force rolling road day

This would result in terrific torque resulting in an even better behaviour on a race track, with the constant acceleration, braking , acceleration etc. 
I thin GM themselves are planning a 2.4 or do they already have it in production?

I think that there is a 2.4 in the US...
I think it is stroked.
Not entirely sure though....

Stevei am going down another route with the mods which hopefully will all be revealed at the g-force rolling road day
Having a few more tweaks done myself this week so the RR day will be interesting

the 2.4 is not the new ecotec, it´s an old 8valve engine.I think that there is a 2.4 in the US...
I think it is stroked.
Not entirely sure though....

Might give some indication re the possibility of increasing the bore....
