Been lurking on this forum for a good couple of months and finally (using the advice off here) picked up my 51 Red Na this afternoon thumbsup Great car and coming from a Smart roadster (which was a very good car imo) the power difference is huge, but taking it easy atm to get my bearings. Just got to get round to sorting out the heater  and then other mods will prob end up happening but not for the moment ;) So basically just a post to say hi to be honest chinky chinky

Hi There, welcome to the forum & enjoy your car! red NA's are the best...

Just spotted you are in Wigan, there's a bunch of us round the North West who get together quite often to go for a blast, keep your eyes peeled for things in Meets and Events :)

WElcome I went from the VX220 to a Smart Roadster Coupe. (missus wanted a few home comforts in the car) Just take it easy in the VX with no traction control etc etc... Have fun Mike

Welcome to the forum. You've chosen by far the best VX / colour combination. :D One thing though, what's this "heater" you speak of ???

cheers for the advice guys, Ive been keeping it easy in the wet. Just out of interest Mike9009 whats it like doing the opposite to me? I loved the car and can't really say a bad word about it, was just time to move on so to speak. Duncan, tbh it hasn't really bothered me so far the heater issue lol but Im sure after the inital honeymoon period wears off (if it does) then Il get round to at least improving it.

Hi mate I loved both cars but miss the VX220 more (hence why I lurk on here regularly). Reason for change was the better half could not put up with the spartan interior in the VX, hence I got a highly specced Smart Roadster Coupe. You can't really compare the two cars - as you will probably testify yourself. I have not got rid of the Smart and moved onto more boring wheels in a bid to cut costs. Very envious of you - have fun.... Mike

Yer there is a little bit of a bare bones feel to the vx compared to the smart but then again thats part of the charm isnt it thumbsup I miss being able to drive lets just say "spiritidly" in the roadster without worrying about things going wrong as the ESP would save me  but I've taken it easy in the vx up to now due to some of the horror stories I've read on here (and that fact that its ALOT quiker). Pros and kons for both hey. The guys are great on theroadster.net (if your not already on there and can be bothered posting lol) but if your ever stuck with something with it don't hesitate to give me a message and il try my best to help chinky chinky (not that Im saying you do / will need the help  )
