Very nice car, i have been to see the silver one that is on pistonheads at 6200 with the hard top and 26k on clock. however that is a cat d and technically it has not been fully repaired. I have made him an offer but am waiting for him to get back to me. If that doesnt work out i will definately have a look at yours...ps love the seats!!!

I have viewed that silver cat d with 26k miles. He wanted 5800 for that, but wasnt 100% confident buying a cat d after advice from my local garage. Viewed the one on autotrader for 6000 that is non cat d and he was open to offers on that, i went down with the cash, made an offer that wasnt that far away, but he is getting back to me although to be honest i am not bothered about that car as it needs a fair amount of paint doing as it looked like i had done a spray tin can job on the front wheel arch! The VSE on it sounded amazing though!!!

To conclude i am going to see the one on autotrader for 5500 on sunday who said that he would take just over 5000. Downside with that is that it has done 100k miles, but its cheap! Its all serviced but was going to post on here what mileage can you expect from the vx? I know it has the same engine in as vectras astras etc. that should to 200k but guessing vx's are driven allot harder.

Yeah but it weighs bugger all, so the engine is put under little stress. I'd more concerned with service history (cam belts/chains and oil changes specifically) and hidden accident damage.

Tired suspension components can be sourced easily and cheaply if you want to refresh them. thumbsup
Around 200 quid will get you a full set of wishbone bushes and full set of ball joints for the whole car. The shocks can be sent away to Bilstein and refurbished for 60+VAT a corner or a set of Gaz adjustable shocks will set you back a measly 400 squid.

Don't let mileage alone put you off. Treat each car on its individual merits.

Scott
