As some of you know, we've almost filled the track day at Castle Coombe now. Thanks for your response to this. So, we are now thinking of doing a second one, this time at Snetterton, and wondered if you would like to join us again. Of course by this time, the BTCC season will be well under way, and we'll be able to tease you about how much better MG are doing against Vauxhall ;) If we book 50 cars, the cost will be around £155, and for 60 it will be £129. Again, this is not a money making event, purely covers the cost. We also have to consider that if we don't get a full take up, how we share the cost. I don't know how 'well off' this forum is :P There are no weekend dates available, but possibly the 3rd, 4th or 28th August. What do you think? Beverley cheers

Beverley, I am all for club organised trackdays but I would be aware of others, like SELOC, who have day at Snet in July for £135. I could work out the numbers if i could be bothered to add them up. Commercial organisations such as RMA do that circuit for £125 for members. I would ensure you could sell all the places before you commit yourself. BTW, 6 at a time on CC is very low, 12 is fine, but if you run 10 at atime there will still be plenty of room and more time ontrack for us!!! Andrew

Andrew.... thanks for that. As you know, this is all new to me, and any advise is greatly appreciated. There's a fine line between the price you charge and the number of cars on track, and as with everything, you can't please all the people all the time. The way we have worked out the prices is easy. The circuit gives us a price, we add on the VAT and the PLI and divide it by how many cars we want. There really is no profit involved at all, rather the other way round, as I will be there with the marquee doing refreshments all day when I'm not on track. We took a gamble with the Castle Coombe day, as we had no idea how many we could sell. I took the view that with Jerry's forum and my business, we could manage fine, and I was right this time. Obviously, with the amount of cars needed for Snet, it will be a little more difficult, but I am still confident. Beverley cheers

We've hit across a couple of hitches with this, firstly PLI - as we are not official trackday organisors, we are having trouble organising it. I may have to consider becomming a member of TDO, but then I need to cover my costs, and we don't do this to make money. Secondly, paying up front for 50 or so people, when we are never sure how many we'll get  - its a bit risky! Jerry and I are thinking about this, but we'll keep you posted cheers
