hi
anyone interested in a group buy
it is for the custom tophat to fit the vx220 turbo
it is a direct replacement to the standard tophat
requires no cutting to the hosing
all parts supplied the tophat and stud kit
usual price is £80 plus postage
but if i have a order of 10 or more im happy to do them for £70 plus postage
pick up welcome

here is siztenboots comments

recieved this pm from
siztenboots on vx220.org

Full feedback

"The kit I bought was developed to make it a direct fit for a VX220 with a screwdriver and spanner in just about approx 5 minutes . The original boost pipe is not cut or modified in anyway and provides excellent clearance to the boot lid.

I originally enquired and discussed a design with Courtenay last year in September when we were doing the group buy for intake pipes , it took longer to happen than I was prepared to wait , so I went elsewhere. It took the guys just two days to modify a prototype to give a perfect VX part.

I think value for money the kit is excellent as I know just how much time it takes them to fabricate each one. I also thought the flange was very neat and tidy. It looks 1000% better than the black heavy lump of casting as standard and does look very shiny.

On the road I think it makes any partial throttle input feel much smoother and is probably better than a remap.

I do not think other kits with wider piping kit add much value for performance, other than to make installation harder to fit it to the intercooler outlet.

I think you would notice the benefits on a unmodified car all the way through to a stage 5. "

You could try and put this in the correct group buy forum. And may be expected to pay for a commercial post(if thats how it still works?)

Rich I have made the other kit but do not worry, the kit is quite a bit different to yours although both initially address the top hat restriction. As Paul has stated mine is quite a bit more than your kit and I only ever developed my kit for my own gains and pushing the vx forward, bad news is how much it is costing to get copied so even making about £5 profit on each kit (which has more than been taken up with fuel getting bits) is still quite high so have no problem if people want to look at other options. I am in the wrong job lol

All the best
Duncan
