I would really first test your fuel pressure with a lengthened gauge (and a passenger) before you start modding away things. If it ran fine with OEM ecu and Courtenay SC remap, your fuel system should be up to the MS job too...

do u have a swirl pot nick? pics?

yea been running one since the conversion fuel pressure was down at high BHP, so easier to put at second pump plus pot on as oem pump can be a pain to uprate. Second advantage no fuel problems on track.

I will try for pics later

Was searching something on the net and had to think about your "4000rpm problem" when I read this:

Megasquirt can handle COP-ignition as well as wasted spark. The trouble with wasted spark on a DI-cartridge is, that DI is only capable of handling 9k rpm when run in COP-mode. Running it in Wasted spark will cut the 9k rpm in half = 4500rpm. This information was obtained by "Ragnar" this summer at the saab-festival. This said, I know of at least one guy running MS with DI as wasted spark without issues so far, so it is possible to make it work, just be aware that the cartridge probably wont last as long...

Maybe it's related to your problem, maybe not...

cartridge? That's not the problem anyway, I'm up to about 6000rpm now.. tuning is just hard to do :) I think I was injecting too much and advance was too little..

think I need to get it to a RR to tweak it properly, it's so hard getting to the high boost & rpm values on the road to see if the latest tweaks worked
