I've always struggled with PF pads but haven't tried all their compounds. Until I fitted the first set of CF pads to my race car a year ago I religiously used Pagid but now I've used these I won't ever be going back.

Better from cold
Better when hot
Go to 1000 degrees
Don't fade
Wear rate is less than pagid on both disc and pad
Much better feel

I have been looking at these for a bit now. The only thing that puts me off is that they are very squealy.

the rc5+ is a low noise stuff but same high friction as the race stuff, worth having a chat to Chris as I asked similar questions about CL rc7

It's difficult to put into words something like this, but never before have I experienced such an increase in retardation with just a change of pads.

They just get better the more work you give them and the feel through the pedal is incredible, again I cant really explain this but it's just totally confidence inspiring.

I.ve only driven them for a few days but so far they've produced no noise whatsoever and little or no dust on the wheels.

Downsides - none really apart from they do need a couple of applications to get up to temp.

In a word, bloody fantastic! :up

also Benjam has been testing them

Chris has the 4pot version for the front available as well.

Might get a set anyway, if they are noisy i'll just use em on track. Been an SBS protrack user for ages and was happy with the all round performance but lately have been thinking I wouldn't mind trying something better.

don't know the RC5+, but using RC6 for quite a long time here (from pagids 42 then 14 then RC6 :) ) I'm actually trying a bit different combinaison with RC6E at front and RC6 at rear

yeah heard that too actually long time haven't heard my RC6 squealing, but must say I almost don't use the speedster on road, and normally after a good trackday they give you some time before being noisy again Just on reverse they kind of shout :groupjump:

don't know but I saw that Chris had these on his 4pot Europa , with the old 2pot caliper moved to the rear.

yes he did mention about reverse , I had the same when I tried to recycle my wedge shaped pads and put them on round the other way, ie. leading edge became trailing on the same wheel, trying to even out the uneven wear on my SBS

I just use a stone grinder and wear down the leading and trailing edges slightly. Never had any squeal on any pads after that.

All I can say to people is try them. I've been using them for a year now on my race cars and I won't be going back to conventional resin pads. Before that I always used Pagid and couldn't imagine anything bettering them until I tried Carbon Lorraine. Until recently I haven't been recommending them as a road/track pad because of the noise but after very successful tests of the RC5+ low noise compound it seems like that problem has been resolved. Mr sizetenboots got the last set we had in stock for his amazing VXT but we should have more stock in very soon so please call and place order on 01491 848800.

After killing my rs14's at Bedford I'm in the market for some new fronts. Can I assume that the Rc5+ are being preferred over the Rc6's purely down to noise. It would appear from their web site that the 6's have a higher friction coefficient therefore better retardation, or am I over simplifying things? Also would I be right in saying the Rc5=rs14 and Rc6=rs15 (again sorry if this is an over simplification).
