I tried the cable tie a spanner to the wishbone method and it was ok. Bit of a faf though. Turn bolt in footwell a bit, get out of footwell, go check the spanner is still in place, go back into footwell, repeat until bored or muscles go into spasm. 24" extension and no footrest in the way would of helped a lot.- and I needed another pair of hands to get the front lower rear bolt done up - the one in the footwells)

handbrake cable uses 16mm P clips
driveshafts require a deep reach 30mm socket![]()
top tip;
use a 5mm drill bit and put four holes into the oem bushes - north, south, east, west sort of pattern.
do not drill into the wishbone![]()
then the bushes will easily come out with a small knock from a hammer/drift.
really wish I had thought of that idea at the first rather than the last bush
Top Tip Vocky, I must remember this.
Jimmy,
Just fitted a full set of Superpro bushes and really really pleased, great upgrade from standard and not that much more expensive.

the poly bushes are so easy to fit, but not sure if they are any better or perhaps worse than oem in the long term
![]()
My new poly bushes should last me at least 10 years due to only doing 1500 miles a year
christ, if thats 'true' I'd kill a set in less than 12 months
