Did the credit crunch not hit america? How can a 15 yr old afford a vx? Whats the driving age over there?
Okay, why does my age matter? I will be able to drive next year, and I've been saving money for a while. My age shouldn't matter.

I'm sure I've seen a pic of a VX220 with USA plates on. Can't remember the state unfortunately.
I can't figure out how someone did that. I'm calling the DOT to find out my options about this.

I've def seen a VX with a US plate on it on here somewhere
So the owner belongs to the forums?
Well at 15 you cant have had any proper jobs so you must have a pretty big allowance. And to me money given is not the same as money earned, as i've worked for everything i have it always annoys me when people are given handouts from pairents etc. Unless its inherited then thats different
$30 a month count as a large allowance? Not to mention I work for my dad to earn that money. I do work for everything I do, though my father is paying for some of my car. I agree with you, I hate it when kids just get money. They have no idea what a dollar is worth, or a euro for you guys.

GM did a version with a Daewoo badge on it I'm sure.
Do a search for Daewoo Speedster.... i'm not sure if they did it in the states or not. Probably not because it didn't have a 5ltr engine with 120bhp.

Oh wow, thank you so much. Do you think with all the added information, despite the various parts from different US cars, it will be enough to do something? The Elise has a USA product line, and I know most the cars on there can be found here.

There's a page >here< about one in the USA, however it is not the one I am referring to. The one I saw was of the back end of a silver VX, and if definitely had USA plates on.
Says it's temporary? Might have been a foreigner just brining his car here for the year they are allowed to..?
Why not just buy a yankee muscle car ? I would think import costs may be quite high, if we import a U.S. car to the UK it has to have a SVA to make it compilant to use on British roads would this not be the same if you import a car to the U,S,A ? But anyway good luck
Not sure on the costs, I just want to find out if it CAN be here or not first, then I can worry about that. All I know is that the EPA need to be present and some other agency to make sure it's good to come in. Then just the basic importing costs and registration. Other than that I don't think it needs anything else.
And thank you.

Thanks.
