Good idea. ThanksJust when you drop it off go round with the service manager or someone to check any nicks or scratches on your car. It covers both of you then because if any appear you both know its from their garage

Although I have used them to change a tensioner pulley, and all was fine.

It is a big shame more garages dont just offer it. If i ever get around to getting my own garage i'd be doing that to cover my own back.

Withouth forms, it usually comes down to your word against the garage's though, if something does go wrong - even if you did ask someone to walk around the car with you beforehand. So perhaps forms bring a garage more liability vs no forms
Either way, it gave me piece of mind
All you would need is a form with the line drawing of a car on like insurances do for damage. Note the damage then photocopy it for the customer. Piece of mind for the customer and a kick up the butt to the mechanic to be careful.
Although it's not the nicest feeling pointing out all the car blemishes to a total stranger

My cars perfect to me

I've just booked a service and MOT at Pentagon Derby. It's booked in for 11th Jan. The 7th service, MOT and emissions pack (engine flush and some other stuff) for £221. I will let you know how it gets on.
I'm a little dubious about using them, as not too many positive posts about them. However there are a couple of people who have used them and been happy with them. And their service centre manager has a VXR so that's got to be a good thing
They did my coolant header tank replacement and I can have no complaints Bob.
Obviously Pentagon is a bit industrial, but it is just one fella who does all the VX's for them (which is why you can't get it on weekends) so he knows what he's on about.

Yeah I believe his name is Martin. He is the one who did my tensioner replacement and I was happy with that. Hopefully I'll get to speak to him before I leave them with the car.I've just booked a service and MOT at Pentagon Derby. It's booked in for 11th Jan. And you got someone to do your header tank? I bought the tank there but changed it myself.

Car is under warranty so it didn't cost me anything. Thought I may as well have it done as do it myself.

Don't tell me the frost cracked itThey did mine under warranty as well.
It looks like it needs doing again now, no big deal but the car has only done several thousand miles since having the new one fitted and the car lives in a garage.

Will do. I think Tim uses them for servicing, and he's happy with them. I have used them for some work, and was happy with the work done, just a bit dubious about their attitude on the service desk.Keep us up to date when you manage to get the service carried out
- I'm interested to find the best place place for servicing around the Derby area.
Cheers

That's good to know. It is kind reassuring to know that they only use one guy to do the VXs - in theory he should know how to treat them by now!
How do they do price wise?
Cheers
