I think my girlfriend is a 12, and that's just fine with me. I'm not sure I'd want any slimmer.

The size of the average woman in the UK is a size 16, so size 10 is not 'normal'. Size 10 is slim, so I'm not surprised you're happy. I think men and women have different ideas about what is 'normal'/skinny/stick thin.

Given how perfect all women in magazines look (after £££s thrown at them, and hours of styling and retouching), I think that some men have unrealistic expectations with regard to how women should look. Yeah, she's pretty skinny. Although at just over 5ft is she was size 16 she'd probably have a radius rather than a height! (I'm not the best with girls sizes - foreign language to me so I might be guessing a bit!!).

the problem with the idea that the average uk size is 16 is that as we all know there are an awful lot of chronically obese Orcas out there and this skews the result loads. just because thats the 'average' does not mean that it's either healthy or IMHO attractive. MY gorgeous girlfriend is way below the 'average' being a size 12-14 but because she is only a shade over 5' she is 'technically' overweight. as previously mentioned proportion is everything. but yeah I'll own up to craning my neck when the stick with the huge puppies walks past....(I'm male I'm programmed that way)

Fraid not. I'm far to lean. The only way I put on any weight was to enroll on the maryland cookie diet. 2 packets a day for months and I gained a few pounds.
