I'm with Siztenboots. I think Le Mans might be the answer to our prayers!!

Spa is knackered, and it doesn't look like we are going to get another date :( So why not salvage as much as we can from what was going to be the biggest Euro trip in forum history!!!!

Many have already negotiated a trip away, so just postpone it a month or so and do this weekend instead. We can still have an epic trip this summer!!!

So many parallels!!

  • It's another bank holiday weekend and will only cost 1 day off work (rather than 2 for Spa).
  • It's the same price, so Spa refund will cover it (therefore not costing anymore cash).
  • You can transfer your EuroTunnel crossing, so again NO extra cash involved.
  • It's an awesome circuit that is just as synonomous with classic motorsport as Spa.

Advantages of this trip over Spa...

  • Later in the year so weather should be better
  • Also further south, so weather should be EVEN better
Can't think of any more right now, but come on guys, I feel short changed as I was looking forward to Spa, a change of venue could see us still pulling this trip off :)

  Think not what you do for your VX, but what your VX can do for you!!!

Yeah, yeah, yeah. My brownie points were transferable. Can I get my French wingman on board for this one? C'mon guys, its Le Mans; Lord James of Jerusalem is talking sense. Spa will be there next year.

It would look great to have some Le Mans 2010 Team VX220 theme graphics on the cars for photos , the 24hr race is just two weeks after. :)

Had changed my eurotunnel booking to line up with doing Croix en Ternois on the 06/08 and Abbeville on the 07/08, but could move it again - or do this as well...

it'd just be a jolly for me too Ali, I don't want to track until:

a) my internals are done
2) I've had some driver training (I know I should have done this already)
c) I have a new exhaust because, even at 105db I'd still be struggling on a drive by! :D

Really want to get on a VX euro trip though! The ring trip last year looked an sounded great!

a, you have 2 months
b, driver training is available on the day. For about £50 I could get an instructor with you permanantly for most of the morning, and he will teach you everything you need to know!! Also he will show you the best lines around Le Mans.
c. Who cares about noise?? it's Le Mans!!!

I'm booked with LoT ans just need to see the wife about using her Tesco vouchers for the tunnel. (or IIRC seafrance is a £37 return) Whats happening about hotels though? According to LoT they have a special 38 euro rate at http://www.mercure.c...les/index.shtml

I am looking at the double header Le Mans in August but might try and stretch to this one. Did it last year and it is worth the trip !!!
