are there special LoT room rates at that hotel?

It's supposed to be €38 per night I think, I have emailed the hotel (mentioning LoT) to confirm.

ok Ali cos the website prices are considerably more than that.

"Manuel is the forename of M. Lebourlès... very friendly guy who likes our Lotus and our contact since months if not years..." , email as above and put it for his attention requesting LoT rate.

"Cancellation without charge until 6pm the day of arrival.
Best regards,
Manuel Lebourlès"

current price for track is £175 , rather then full price of £199 , crossing £50 for ET, 38.- Euro for the hotel , plus expenses.

What can I say? Speaking to Sticky yesterday convinced me I should. If I was going to go to the 24 hour, 10 days later, I wouldn't be going but as I've had to cry off that......

Just need to fix the fcuking car again now. :(

Can't say I'm looking forward to the schlep down there though. Rouen tunnel will be fun but I vote for taking the N138 down there instead of the monotonous A16/A28 autoroutes.

Yep taking the N138 (or D438 whatever it's called now) is the classic way to do a run down to LM. Still involves the shorter section of autoroute from Calais down to Rouen, then it's a great flowing road through some lovely little towns. Usual stopping point is Gacé for lunch, although we're going later in the day than the usual LM24 convoys. Can also pick up the last section of autoroute again for the final run into Le Mans. Will definitely need to do the autoroutes all the way back to Calais on the return though as it's a fair old drive, timewise. Will get to work on Martin. :o

This is the usual route. Basically autoroute to Rouen. Pick up the N138/D438 just after Rouen. Head down to Gacé and then to Alencon and pick up the autoroute for the final stretch into Le Mans. It runs pretty much parallel to the A28 so if time becomes an issue, it's easy to jump back on the toll road.

Need a skin graft on my eardrum (again) and they kind of cut round the back of the ear, fold it forward and sellotape it to your cheek for the duration.

I've done Techies route loads of times but using the N28 and D928 to Rouen. DO NOT hit rouen at rush hour!!! Its a great route down but you will need to watch the time. I'm looking into doing Portsmouth/Le Havre. Ferry costs more but there is a significant saving in fuel and time especially if you get the SpeedCat thingy.
