Morning all,
In the same vein as the discussion above, my fabric roof too is in need of some attention, as there is dirt ingrained in the material. Car shampoo and lightly scrubbing doesn't have any affect, and using a high-pressure hose/lance leaves marks temporarily (as well as removing the weatherproofing!)
However, I've not been able to find any other discussions on this forum where owners are discussing the cleaning of coloured fabric roofs. I have a silver VX' n/a with the contrasting 'Mulberry Red' roof and interior. Does anyone have any experience of using roof cleaning products on these coloured roofs? Am I safe to use either the Autoglym or the Renovo products without affecting the colour?
Any info/advice would be most welcome.
Thanks for reading.

I am sure autoglym is ok but naturally read up on it first. The autoglym product is brilliant!

I have the same colour combination. All soft top designated cleaning products are fine. I use Autoglym FTR

I used renovo non dying, it was fantastic.
Then again, nothing beats new fabric

Hello again,
Thanks for the advice above. I also contacted Renovo UK themselves earlier. They got back to me saying that there wouldn't be a problem using their Canvas Cleaner followed by their Ultra Proofer on a red roof, as their products are water-based and 'colour neutral'.
Cheers.

I can add a recommendation of the autoglym cleaner and protector kit. £20 from hellfrauds but well worth it. Having just acquired a red soft top - thanks Barton - I spent a happy couple of hours bringing it up to close to 'as new' spec. Looks great now and sets off my red interior very nicely.
