I have a similar problem with mine at the moment after doing an interim change. Can the o rings be swapped ok without me having to drain 60 quids worth of silkolene out?

Yep, should be fine. You might lose a little from the housing/filter unless the car has been sat for a while but, you should be fine. thumbsup

The seal (part 14) may or may not come with the oil filter, I've received one with some filters and not others. Order a few of them if you want but whenever I've tried to change the oil filter with the engine in the car, I've never been able to separate part 12 from part 13. Posted Image

Plus if parts 12 and 13 don't come undone then you can just pull out the old filter and push the new one in just as easily.


I never lost a drop on mine - other than that in the filter itself.
