I have finally got around to fitting my splitter. It's been sat in the garage for over a year.

Anyway it is an astra splitter with about 15mm cut off the bottom. I may give a further trim if it is too low or the rear end feels very light.

I would say it is pretty similar in size to the TMS carbon one now. What do you guys think?

I'm not sure, if you have a search I am pretty sure you will find it on here. Someone else fitted one before but the general feedback was that is was too BIG, hence I cut it down with tin snips.

Yep, very happy with it!!! everyone I have asked so far really like it aswell.

I forgot to say it is fairly soft plastic so it does bend if you push it hard enough. If it does ground out it should bend as opposed to being ripped off I hope.

That looks really good mate. I fitted the full size version on mine years ago and it does push the balance too far forwards in faster bends. Was fine with the rear wing fitted, but with a standard rear end will probably have to look into reducing the effectiveness of the splitter. Never thought about trimming it down a bit  Will give that a go next time the front clam is off.

It was dead easy to trim with tin snips

Make sure that it's the Astra 'G' splitter, the 'G' will mean something to a Vauxhall parts dept. (G = Mk 4, the Astra that's just come out is the Mk 6)

Looks very good! thumbsup So how is it mounted/fixed to the clam? Through the holes for the original 'splitters' and extra holes? Is it also cut down in width, or does it fit as it is? I think someone also fit the Seat Leon splitter right(I have one laying around in the garage)? //Johan

Looks good to me too. Can I ask a stupid question though? Where's your tow eye, is it different on VXT than the NA or have you done away with it? Also, is that a 3/4 size plate?

Yeah how did you fit it? It has to be a balance between being attached well enough that it does not come off at high speed and avoiding your clam being ripped off it you hit a speed bump. Also which model Astra G did it come from? Thanks for sharing, Paul
