1155's don't have the initial cold bite of 1144's and I found them a little lacking untill they got a little bit of heat into them.
They're definately better with some heat in them but i ran them everyday and didnt find them much worse than 1144s from cold.

Agreed, I have 55's on at the moment and I dont find myself screaming like a girl when I first brake on a cold winters day

They are still better cold than OEM/Greenstuff ever could be.
My carbons were similar, not epic when cold, but certainly much better than most

I consider 1144s the ultimate road pad. I followed opinion and now have a set of 1155s, they are not as good for road use, instant retardation and general modulation are less good.
Whichever you decide, don't forget Camskill's deal, £200 delivered, pads and discs.

1144 are better for road, far more progressive, but having had them wilt badly on track I now run 1155 all the time because I CBA to swap back and forth.

Only if your wallet has too much cash in it and you have trouble walking straight due the to extra weight in your pocket.seen this offer on camskill

with standard discs, would anyone recommend grooved or drilled instead?
They look good but don't add much if anything apparently.

Took off my 1155 at Le Mans and left then in the pit lane before they killed me. Utter shite IMHO; much preferred the 1144 but will stick with Pagid from now on.
care to elaborate?

They just didn't work for me. I had a good firm pedal but it felt like Ice Mode had kicked in and whenever I needed brakes, they simply were not there. First two or three laps were OK then the pad just heated up and ceased to work.
Put the Pagids in and sorted, no issues at all.

Were they the old style or new style?
