Will dig my spare out at lunch time and break out the calipers and rulers.
is the F23 mounted at a different angle/position on the 2.2 , just trying to understand why failures seem more common on that variant. Passenger side go more often?

Thanks.
I am looking at getting a supply of these as there always seems to be confusion when needing to fit one.
I have a complete driveshaft arriving tomorrow and will swap over at the weekend, let me know if you want me to fit yours as well?

That is where the exhaust bend is and the heat there is much higher than the drivers side. It is also why the passenger rear calliper and shock also wear quicker.

The OEM inboard boot is manufactured by NTN and has what might be a part number/size code of 17-73#BJ100. That might imply a 73mm nominal diameter at the thick end which is quite a way short of the 88.2mm I measured. Can't remember if there was a step down in the size of the CV joint where the boot is strapped on but don't think so.
The outboard joint is again from NTN (as are the joints by the look of them) and has a part number of 340-100, I think.
NTN are Japanese so possible they might be fitted to a Ricer.

Would be good if we could track down a non-Vauxhall source as their prices are a fecking rip-off and they were on back order when I tried to get one last year.
Could you please do the same for the outer boot, I have found a supplier and getting a couple of samples down.
.
Will be much cheaper than the Vauxfruad ones

Did someone not post in an earlier thread that the boots were off of some sort of Honda?

Dont know if its any help but had a look on our parts system this morning...
9197858 is the GM number - not the same as any other GM boot kit. Aftermarket wise you will need a Quinton Hazell part number QJB1033 or equivalent.
If it helps its also the same as a Honda NSX (42017-SL0-000) or a Kia Sedona (0 K55 22 2540).
Sadly we dont keep them in stock....
If you are after a universal one the sizes needed are 25mm shaft size, 87mm joint size with an overall length of 96mm.
Good luck with your search!

I have tracked down the inner already, just need dimensions on the outer if you have them Kevin.
9197864 is the part number outer and Vauxhall price is £57 plus the VAT
