I'm fed up with my extinguisher pinging around the passenger footwell. Anyone know of somebody who makes a suitable bracket for the VX along the lines of the following one from Sector111 (uses the front seat mounting bolts)? I've tried the usual suspects and they don't appear to list one but I'd prefer to mount my extinguisher along those lines, rather than bolt it direct into the tub. Also means that if I change extinguisher, I can re-drill holes in it if necessary.

Saved Fiveoclockhero's car.

Just don't want the thing firing across to my side of the car on track. It was attached with HD velcro to the footrest but it's no longer happy there and it's about the most useless place to access, if in a hurry.

Not sure whether a decent sized one will fit behind the seat and pretty sure it wont work on the parcel shelf with a harness bar in place. If it does, it'll be hard to get out if/when needed. Bad enough getting a can of drink out of there when your car isn't on fire. :o

I think I'd prefer a deeper bracket mounting section than TAT's version though. Would give a bit more flexibility about the size of extinguisher and possibly more suitable for any future aftermarket seats that may or may not ever get decided on. If I could cut the metal smoothly enough, I'd have a go with a sheet of stainless steel or aluminium but fear it'll just look like a twisted, butchered piece of metal at the end of it.

Two self tapping screws into the Ally ribbed bit in front of the passenger seat works fine for me, well cheap too only £5 inc P&P... My mate has an Elise and his was tie wrapped to his passenger foot rest till it went off on the M40...

What about this http://www.elise-sho...94f9b11737f1cb5 as it seems loads better then a extinguisher and says it leaves no mess and last a lot longer then the powder extinguisher.

The two I have are certainly both ABC's. thumbsup Both have totally different mounting brackets (and are different capacities) hence why I'm not going to start drilling holes directly into the floor of the car and using self tappers. The soon as one's use-by date elapses, I'll need to drill different holes to mount a replacement.
