unfortunately as im writing this a tear is in my eye

life is all about challenges and how you grow stronger when you get through them, just for me i seem to have had my fair share already. the stuff that i have had to struggle through already in my life is challenging enough but to have my pride and joy taken away from me aswell is just physically unspeakable. this was the car that me and my dad picked out and told me to buy it (he loved the colour) and i was going to keep the car forever

however was on the way home after a good day at working on a friends car, my car unfortunately decided it wanted to no longer be alive, and below is a picture of all is left

you will notice that it is pretty close to the barrier, i did not crash it, it was parked on a hill and the handbrake cable must have melted and it rolled down next to the barrier

words cant express how heart broken i am#

the car was finished and was perfect there was nothing left that could be done... it was simply perfect

Omg.. I am deeply sorry for your loss, after just reading about it in redline the other day it is ashame to see such a fine example of what is your pride and joy to go that way. I know it may never be the same but will insurance cover this? Hope you sort everything and hope you are okay :grouphug:

I cant believe it, that photo is shocking, I'm so sorry. It was having a pax in that car that convinced me to go sc. I know how you feel, I had a BMW CS go like that after spending a year restoring it.

Not been on for a while, but tend to lurk in the background everyday, i have seen and read what you did to that car.

It showed that you put your heart and soul into it as a project.

I really feel for you, it must be heart wrenching, but remember no person was hurt and at the end of the day you CAN do it all again.

Joe, never met you buddy, but my heart goes out to you all the same. I'd be devastated if that happened to my Saab, let alone my vx...let alone your VX.

Joe I totally feel for you, so sorry to hear about your loss, feel sick as I am typing, not nice to see, especially to another forum member who has put so much time and effort into getting their Vx sorted as you have done. Hope you can get it sorted with the insurance but no ammount of money will be able to replace the time and fun you and your Vx have shared together. I'm sure everyone will agree if you need anything we are all here for you :grouphug: take care bud :(

im alright thanks and just one of lifes little problems but just such a shame i still cant come to grips with what has actually happened... the look on Lees face when he saw it, just sort of shows that the people that have worked on it must get so attached to the car and just feel devastated, thanks again for coming out, i needed to see a friendly face as aposed to some imature people that feel the need to comment as they drive past there is literally nothing left of the car, the chassis has physically melted! all i got left is a front tow eye and a rear vauxhall badge, so am excepting offers over 18k for them ;) :( oh and a few blobs off chasis, where it has turned to liquid and then cooled down!
