Stig is not a fictional character. In fact it originates from the Derbyshire school of Repton. Jeremy Clarkson went to Repton school. All new students at Repton school are called Stig and this is where the name originates from. So not fictional.I don't see what the big deal is; anyone with an internet connection has known that Ben Collins has played 'The Stig' for years. 'The Stig' is a fictional character and knowing that a certain driver has driven as 'The Stig' is neither here nor there, we still don't know who 'The Stig' is.
However, I am intrigued to know the well known figure from .Org that filled in for the Stig is? Dropping snippets like that and not spilling the beans deserves a good

No Chris, of course it is not me. I am way too short to stand in for Ben Collins plus the fact that compared to Stig, I am a pretty crap driver.
When I said it is a well known figure to this site, I didn't mean to suggest it was a board poster...
