OK, so you've decided that the VX must go :beat: :9mm: Fair enough - time moves on and circumstances change, etc, etc... So, what does the VX after-life hold in store? More extreme motoring? A sensible car? Or have you decided that driving simply can't get any better and you're going to quit while you're at the peak? :) Let us know here. chinky chinky

Why would you sell the VXT and then get another one?
I thought your reason for selling was for a VXR.

There aren't many of the perfect colour schemes about (coral with blue leather).

Well the VX is hopefully being sold this weekend so I guess I qualify for an interview. Pro's - The VX is the best thing I've ever bought, and the best car I've ever driven bar none. Cons - Having sustained whiplash in a recent snowboarding accident, I need something that's kinder to my back. The loan is a fair whack of my disposable budget. And it's lack of practicality is now doing my head in (it's my only car). My chosen set of temporary wheels, is an M-reg Ford Scorpio my old man has lent/given(abandoned) to me! B) Now what a piece of work that is.... and it's only got 165,000 miles on the clock! (look, it was free, and I'm really only driving it for medical reasons). Thinking about it, can I have a ruling on whether I'm allowed on this forum driving a aubergine granada? It's a strange time. I quit my job this morning too! Bring on the revolution.

Gedi, needed some short term cash for 3 months, the will be in a position to decide what I want. Even if that were not the case, I intended getting a new VX every year.

Sold mine (and my red ST220 Mondeo) as I decided I didn't like red cars. Bought a red Seat Leon instead

I know.

So what colour do you want?

Red

Are you sure?

Yes red.

definitely not selling...... but had Cooper S and a Civic Type R for a few days each as demos over last two weeks. IMHO Civic R better than Cooper S - but both not in same league as VX (as you would expect). Mick

Slightly off thread but... IF I had the chance I would trade my VXT for an Ultima. Ive heard its a brute in nature but not a million miles away from a VX,, mid engine ,,flyweight totally sensible . Apart from maybe a 360 there aint a lot out there that I would xchange for. Says a lot for the car. How everyone else feel ? :)

Europe would be pretty cool....not sure about the world. For a start I'd have to take the chick and just her girlie stuff alone takes up all the boot space..... I know, I could knock up some Papier Mache and build an extension onto my VX, turn it into an estate.....Now there's a project ;)

Sold up to move into London - there's no way I'm subjecting my 'baby' to that lot! No idea what to get next, as all the possible candidates have been crap after the VX. Suspect it'll either be an Impreza, or some £500 POS I can run into the ground and not care about. Dan
