I've just bought a Stormforce cover, and it barely fits, it's REALLY tight around the front and over the rear spoiler, so much so that it's going back! anyone else have the same problem? I'm wondering if they have sent the right one, the label says CCC167 is this correct? Help anyone? I've had a Voyager cover for a couple of years and it fits really well.

Yeah mine is really tight, i couldn't get it on at first but then figured out that you have to put the wing mirrors in their pockets first, then it went on quite easily... just got to remember to take the radio antenna off first... which i didn't  I'll go and check the label on mine and post it up thumbsup Oh and by the way they don't hold up very well against cats claws... had mine 2 days then found a load of holes in it... bloody cat!! :9mm: Edit: Yep its CCC167

Tight is good...dont allow any slack, it will puddle, and blow as everyone else says....put mirrors on first as others say..then back then front....had one for donkeys

ohhh.....just seen question...it doesnt leak........

what he says ^^^

Found the neighbours cat was sleeping on the flat spot above the engine bay/boot so also put a big ball of bubble wrap (only thing to hand at the time) under it to raise it up.

Also made the water run off better

Might sound a bit basic but what is the point in a waterproof cover that isn't waterproof ? Doesn't this just trap moisture in and encourage blistering ? 😡

I got a coverzone one and am pretty pleased with it (apart from the fact a local cat has a fetish for treating it like a sharpening post during ninja night moves, it must love the texture as it is starting to rip parts of it, a tad frustrating but hey the cat doesn't know).

I find it pretty waterproof, even with standing water. The main thing is it's very breathable. There are probably cheaper ones that are just as good but I wanted a green one and this was the only vx fitted cover that was green (hark at me).

I've had the Stormforce on for about 18 months now, was a bit frustrating until I worked out wing mirrors in first  :beat:  - unfortunately I literally mean 18 months - only had her out for the MOT

The only problem I have is one side of the rear strap has broken free from the stitching, not a massive problem, but the cover does tend to work its way up in highish winds.

(And when some dick wanted to try yanking the cover off the other night, but the padlock and cable stopped them getting it beyond the rear drivers wheel and exhaust)

I have the small Halfords and it fits a treat. It's primary purpose is dust prevention, though.

I recall that FLD had issues with a similar cover where it took his paint off.

Just noticed - this thread was started in 2010 by BBD and Joey. Local legends, long since departed - both probably BMW owners by now (they looked the type).

Bless 'em all.
