It runs from the OBD2 port and not GPS based.
Not looked into it but is this one of the ones that runs from the OBD2 port and not GPS based?
Pretty accurate, more so in my shed and my van. These run out of the OBD2 port and are pretty accurate to be honest Dunc.
I'll have to take you up on that. Would love to give that a go.Maybe if your at a local meet have a shot with the performance box for reference? More than happy to let you use it to record the times
Thought I'd throw up a screen shot of the VI program, looks pretty accurate accept on 2 readings, might be because of a drain in the road (the private one) causing a shudder.
Times were: 0-30: 2.0, 0-40: 2.4, 0-50 2.4 (obviously wrong!), 0-60: 5.4, 0-70: 6.9, 0-80: 6.9 (obviously wrong!), 0-90: 11.3, 0-100 15.3 (I eased off a little, d'oh!)
The VI monitor seems to work well. Also has lots of other good features like 0-30-0, 0-60-0, 0-100-0, which also gauges your reaction time. It will do a dyno test, which I haven't had time to do yet (or a dry day).
for a VI monitor, it does do a lot more which I won't list but I wish it had a few more features, like average fuel consumption and trip counter.
According to that 50-60 takes 3 seconds, did that need a gear change? Seems a lot considering 0-50 took less than 3?
edit
Ah I see that is the blip you are talking about, so 0-40 and 0-50 are not accurate.
