I've brought the car by trailer from the UK to Switzerland. Have just picked up some winter wheels, but ebay LHD lights have not arrived yet so the car is still sitting in the garage. I've only driven it to take it off the trailer and put it in the garage. I would really like to drive it, but the closest substitute is to sit in it and go brum brum, which I confess I do quite a bit. Is that sad?

Thanks for posting that, but the trouble is, it has no insurance, and only UK plates and I have no UK address to register it to. So until it's booked for a test and insured I can't drive it legally. Should be able to by the end of next week though.

Thanks for the reassurance about my level of sanity. I shall carry on going brum brum knowing I'm not knuts.

Sadly not near Verbier. I live near Luzern and work in Zurich.

Great ski resort Verbier. Will look you up if I go there this winter. Won't be in the VX though - no room for ski's!

(Yes, I have seen the ski rack thread. Thought it was hilarious, but I'll be taking my other car.)

I wish. It has taken ages to sort out. Not that it really matters as the weather has been more appropriate for my other car.

Here's the poor little thing waiting for it's MOT, which thankfully is next week.

Yes.

It's actually been in the garage mostly. But it needed an emission test so I put it on the trailer.
