Ha.. No.. Faster than a speeding bullet..

isnt it strange, we all have thousands of pictures of out little plastic cars, but I can't find a single picture of either of these, so wikipedia is my friend

I don't think they were actually built from planes, but yes the company was not able to build aircraft. Were they made out of bits of old planes because Jerry was not aloud to make flying machines?
Would be cool if I still had it, would do 60 mph, so ok for a modern moterway, would do 70+ miles to the gallon, so ok for the modern petrol pump, trouble is, much too expensive these days, seen one at auction for 30k

Just the one in fact...
1992 Saab 900 Turbo.
Bought standard, comprehensively modified over the next six years.
Ended up with over 260bhp, 280lb/ft. All thanks to larger turbo, FMIC, different head, intake, 3inch exhaust, ECU, Fuel system. Obviously brakes were upgraded, Bilsteins fitted and the interior changed slightly as well.
Sold it in October, ready to be replaced with a VXT.
Here it is when i bought it

And a couple of pics of what it became

Ready for a trip to LeMans

And as it was when i sold it

Hopefully the VXT will live up to its reputation as a replacement.
Thanks to my job as a motoring journalist, i've had the opportunity to drive lots more cars than the above though (including Vauxhall's heritage VX's before making the decision to buy one). The benefit being all of the enjoyment, with none of the costs.

Cheeky little green car lurking there Grahame..... Is that a classic 6pot or the lovely 12cylinder?
It was my flatmate's (and Landlord's) from when i live in London.
Six pot auto, and slower than the Saab, but a lovely (it a little neglected) thing.
