be warned they will rob BHP from you, and give you a bad ear ache but only in one ear... :flame:

Bugger. I might have to build an LHD version as I'm already half deaf in the left ear. Would be a shame to kill my right ear as well. :(

The reason side pipes are not oftern fitted to the Gd is because you have to specially fabricate an exhaust manifold to go around the chassis frames. In a Dax or other replicas, this is not a problem as the chassis is different in design. It has been done, but it's not easy.

The Z4 is a fab car. Very spacious inside and well equipped. A pal has one (works for BMW) as a company car and it is a superb bit of kit IMO. If I didn't need 4 seats then I would have one without hesitation.

There are people making manifolds now that bolt straight, but this is not the only reason why you dont see many GD's with side pipes!

We spent months driving and veiwng so many Cobra's all over the country as that was what I wanted to buy, and came up with these points. A crendon with a ford motor looks the closest but feels dated An ak is a huge bling up toy Dax's are very nice Gd's are the best to drive. Here is what stopped us buying one.... My fiancee could not depress the clutch on 8 of the 10 she tried, the other 2 no more than few times before her leg gave in. They eat money and need much more work than almost anything if you don't know all about the build. Go the shows and talk to the owners all the ones we met were very very accommodating, one even offered us a pax ride to classic le mans for a weeks holiday.... Free... Best we tried was a 800 bhp monster that terrified us, even when it stood still...... You need 35-40k for a nice one private, steer clear of many of the resellers.... Si

Theres a nice video on the tornadosportscars web site in the links section of a GT40 rep on track at Le Mans Classic 2010.
Looks abit of a handfull but he is pushing on, its amazing how fast the F430s are at the end of the video but then again they shouldent of been on track as its the Classic Le Mans :P

Just to keep it on topic there is a glimpse of a Cobra and GT40 both on the grass at one of the yellow flag parts.

Video Link Here
