Loads of topics on this, search "mpg" in the search bar top-right, make sure it searches all forums.

Approximately though for my stage 1 (241bhp) VXT:

Careful: 40mpg
Hammering: 23ish
Generally: 30-35mpg.

Edit: search is useless after all ;), try this:

I dont know the exact figures but im sure its quite a bit better on fuel than the scooby, hopefully someone will be along soon with the figures.

I only put v-power (or similar) in my vx, i dont know if it makes much difference in mpg, but it definitely runs a lot smoother with the better fuel thumbsup

If search function on here doesnt come up with anything then try typing it into google. This took me all of 3 seconds. http://www.google.co...m1g-b2&aql=&oq= However, I would be interested to know what kind of MPG returns are had from a SC NA used as a daily driver.

The only time I did the arithmetic on it, was at the Llandow National and I got 7mpg on the track with my then 185bhp NA car. It was running a properly dodgy rich map though. :o

maybe the longer gearing is to benefit the 2.0L , or, you could still be able to exceed the speed limit but without changing out of second gear if you choose to.

30-35MPG, it doesn't seem to make much difference whether I'm on a run/through town or a mix.

Cliffie should be able to give some SC MPG figures for his daily commute.

Could this be 1 of the 'greenest' sportscars?

Fuel consumption is around 25% better than on any car I have ever owned! Most of which have been 2l petrol saloons. I get 40+ MPG from my standard Turbo. 80% being the commute to work, 1/2 town, 1/2 motorway. Maybe I just don't push her hard enough

1st 2 fillups in my n/a I averaged 35 and 3rd tank full 39 ! Well impressed. I do mainly motorway driving but I had quite a few blasts around when I first got it, think I'd have to try hard to get it below 30! Nick

I've said this before and I will say it again... A1 Newcastle to Wakefield 70-80mph I have managed just over 50mpg a couple of times, mid 40's is easily acheivable - last week I managed to touch the brake pedal only 4 times in the 110mile journey - and as the say 'no brakey, no wastey'.
