I think they are overpriced on a lot of stuff. But I went there with my son's bike a few weeks back. Needed some cheap replacement pedals. Excellent service, finding ones that matched nicely and just fitted them for free.

My wife and I were in there a couple of weeks back.. pressed the donger and no one came, pressed again... waited 5 mins...nothing. Noted that the microphone was say there and had a label saying "number 5 for tannoy" - Too tempted I called a member of staff to the parts department urgently.
Chap wasnt too pleased but once he calmed down we got served... Helps to be a fiddler sometimes... :)
