Pattern chain kits are just shite, which is why I refuse to fit them.
The worst chain kits I have ever seen were 30k miles pattern kits, they had 3mm deep groves worn into them !

I have fitted FAI kits which up to now have had no issues, but i do mean to replace mine with propper gm stuff.

Vocky - to save me searching can you just confirm the list of things that are worth changing / need changing at the same time as the cam chain?
Cam chain
Balancer chain?
Water pump?
Gaskets?
