Done the deal on my new baby this morning. OK. Some clues: No central locking No alarm No immobiliser No leccy windows No aircon No sound insulation Not even a radio! Anyone care to hazard a guess? :P

I put my vote in for one of the Exige Cup cars sitting with the Lotus garages here... and it certainly isn't dark. If I'm right, you've bought yourself a fabulous piece of track machinery which (barely) can get you to and from the track in some comfort. And I'm also very envious (in a good way). If I'm wrong, you've bought something even crazier and I'm stumped.

Had to weigh up comfort and safety – couldn't afford both.

2005 Krypton Green road-legal Exige Cup (done 1,550 miles, never been raced) with:

Standard Cup equip. (full roll cage, plumbed-in fire extinguisher, kill switch, Accusump, LSD, Öhlins, 4-points, etc.).

Bemani 265bhp supercharger with intercooler

Sintered clutch

Agreed I try it for a season and we could always fir aircon if it was unbearable.

I'm leaving it at the garage in storage till Spring now, so can't do you any fancy pics, but >this site< has good pics of a standard Cup.

This is going to be a loooooooooooooong winter!

Verrrry nice choice. There is something very appealing about a no-compromise racer which can still be driven on the road. Conjures up images of "shake-down" runs in the Alps in preparation for the next track event. A modern-day Stratos? Spiritual descendent of the 911 RS? thumbsup I can imagine a lot of 911 and F360 owners are going to be quite disappointed when you show up at Hockenheim with that giant-killer. ;)
