Very nice! Congratulations! Personally i don't like this "atomic" colours very much, I'm a Gun-metal grey/black kinda guy but it suits the car well thumbsup

Currently I think the only car I could realistically change my VX for is an S2 Exige Imnotworthy but I'd have to go for the softer version :P

Absolutely stunning Keith thumbsup Better start modding my car now if I'm going to get anywhere near you at Hockenheim next year :) How did you find the roll cage for clearance? I'm looking for an FIA cage for the VX at the moment, and found a few references to the Exige Cup cage. One comment suggested the overhead bars could impinge on clearance when wearing a crash helmet. I've not managed to find any photos of the cage at roof height to get a proper idea of how it looks. Look forward to seeing it next year thumbsup

Technically a stunning car, but I don't like the styling (to much curves) and I hate the color :gayfight: . But I'm sure that car will make you very happy. :D Just avoid mountains ;)

Very nice !!!!!!! thumbsup Imnotworthy And it comes with a full roll cage - probably a good idea when tumbling down the mountains :P May I ask how much you had to let go for one of those ?

One comment suggested the overhead bars could impinge on clearance when wearing a crash helmet. I've not managed to find any photos of the cage at roof height to get a proper idea of how it looks.

The diagonal that goes across the roof is not that far in front of the driver's head. It has a big, rubber cushion on it. It depends how long in the leg you are if you are close to this or not. At just over 5'8", I'm pretty close – won't be much spare with helmet. The dealer has suggested that, if it was a problem, we could extend the steering wheel out but don't see how that would help the length of my legs! We'll see...

I would think that this diagonal is the only area of the cage that could be tight and for you it would not be an issue, Gary. The other prob though is the double downposts of the cage by the screen that obstruct access to the window winders (and light switches) – good argument for either leccy windows or aircon. We'll see...

I did consider going for a standard dicreetly coloured (I like the polar blue metallic) Exige with all the trimmings and rollcage (they would provide and fit one for arond SFr.8,000.00), then adding the S/C after a year.

But it's all money and time – and this little beauty has only done 1,500 miles (!) – it was also amazing value compared to the price for doing this from new on a loaded Exige. Over the (somewhat sleepless  ) weekend, I calculated that to do this would cost me over £49K and I would still not have the rollcage, extinguisher, kill switch, etc. – that sort of outlay is simply not on! My wife is hardly speaking to me as it is because this one took SFr.88,000.00 (around £40K) out of our life savings :P but it is still a bargain in Switz. and amazing when you think that with an Opel, I couldn't even get JT's OZs. Night and day.

And, having an Exige Cup is pretty B) The fact this one also has the Bemani S/C (which is miles better than the Lotus one – paticularly the intercooler arrangement) is just the icing on the cake :) Could have got a brand new Cup for a little less but without S/C or sintered clutch. Which would you choose – an extra year warranty or the S/C with 1,500 miles? I couldn't resist those gee-gees virtually for free!

Thanks for all the appreciative comments, guys. I just hope this one lasts a little longer

BTW, if anyone is tempted, there is an Exige 240R Cup due soon with the S/C and aircon, etc. I believe – but still only black or yellow, AFAIK.

Jesus! I sooo wanted a Krypton Exige when they got one in Evo. You're even making me think of the dark side now despite the fact it would bankrupt me! Lucky lucky man. Enjoy it mate thumbsup ps. Remind me to call you next time I'm in Switz pps. How can you possibly wait till summer?! I'd be tearing my hair out!

Well done Keith Imnotworthy , obviously the bump to your head has made you dillusional in your old age :P Does this thing have the same SC as the one at Hock this year? I am sure you wont be pussy footing around like him when you get yours on the track, but saying that you will be driving a 40k car against a 10k car :o , will that alter your driving style poof probably not ;) God your going to be tearing your hair out waiting for the weather to warm up out there now :P You da man thumbsup John
