Absolute quality from top to toe. What a cracking motor car you've got yourself.....Good man! A banshee of a car. Best colour (along with Storm Titanium) IMO too. Hope it truly lives up to your expectations. thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup Stunters

A modern-day Stratos?  Spiritual descendent of the 911 RS?  thumbsup

Just tried the "modern day classic" (and hence healthy value-retention) argument with my wife :D – she was having none of it (perhaps the fact that I used the "they will be snapped up by everyone who can get their hands on one and are certain to become sought-after, collectors' items" line when justifying my ordering of the Speedster back in 2000 had something to do with this  ).

Don't forget that every high-dollar car now experienced serious depreciation originally. My dad could have bought a Shelby GT350 for almost nothing in the late 60s (bought an ordinary saloon instead...). Cobra prices dipped, 911RS prices dipped. They all do. And then some take off. Original Opel GTs are selling for their original value or more, now. Of course it's not as good as (properly) working the equities market, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Exige is a no-loss proposition over a decade.

Judging by the rate Speedsters are being hammered into fiberglass dust, they will indeed become collectibles. :)

I really really really!!! love this color :D ( Anyone know the paintcode? B109? :P ) I hope you will post a huge amount of images of the car for us to view :D It seems like this color can vary a bit depending on the lighting conditions? (sometimes the color looks very deep and sometimes a bit pale etc, looks stunning in either cases) I'd love to see one in the flesh :D Great purchase! thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup

Hi Ricky! :D

Try >this<

Then

>this<

Wouldn't recommend it as a means to an end though – could have all too easily been my end! :o

I could be way off the mark here as I haven't seen this small e marked cap thing, maybe it's an external Emergency stop due to the nature of the beast, could be well wrong though. If it's like the Estops our work machines use, it would be funny to press it at traffic lights as the driver aka Mr Speedy would have to get out the car and twist it to reset it. I'm not jelous. :P

at least, after all this, you will not have any more excuses for avoiding the Ring...FAR safer than swiss passes... :P :P ;) ...besides...how could you not drive a SC exige in the "temple"?!?  I feel for you having to reschedule...being a chiropractor and relying solely on by hands/arms , I am always faced with such grim task, every time I engage into something potentially dangerous, like mtb'ing, biking or trackdaying... :( I'm currently switching bikes, I was resolute to go for my dream, a gixxer hayabusa, but then mixed dreams of rescheduling and obituaries made me steer toward a tamer fazer.... :(

The only car I've seen with 2 fillercaps was a concept Volvo designed by women as a car for women... It had a second fillercap next toe the petrolcap for the "windscreen washingsystem fluid" (whatever it's called? ) You have to be lazy if you can't bother to open the bonnet to fill it up :D Baaah, im going off-topic now, shame one me :sleepy:

The one marked "E" is the fire Extinguisher activating switch. The other with the flash is the electrics kill switch.

If you look at the pics >here<, you will see the mahoosive fire extinguisher in front of the passenger seat (it isn't in the way – I was quite oblivious to it when I went as a passenger).

If you look at the dash, where the radio normally is there are also similar switches. You can set it so that it cannot be activated from outside by curious / malicious fingers when you are parked somewhere.

:o and that's in standard tune with no S/C? thumbsup

As far as the 'Ring goes, I still don't want to! poof :P The GT4 version is challenging enough! I just know I'd wreck it, then wifey and bank manager would insist on demoting me to driving a Smart roadster or similar  :( I'll try to have my fun on safer circuits – but even there it could happen...
