I got them, along with A LOT of people here. A bit better bite, and feel. Pretty cheap, and that is good. Pagid RS14, Mintex 1150 and FERODO 2500 have even better bite. The Pagids are most expensive and are the best ones. The MAIN problem with the brakes are BTW the narrow front wheels: 175 mm. Myself I will be running on 205:ers next year, on rear rims.

Crap if you're going on track thumbsdown ...but if you must have them they're £35 for a FULL set from EBC direct (just tell them you have an MSA or ACU licence). I can recommend the Pagids thumbsup

Excellent, thanks fellas. Just had the VXT for a couple of weeks and I've noticed the brakes definitely seem to be the weakest link... Ah well, just need to get practising on keeping that corner speed up...

I´ve done a lot of track driving with EBC:s (and so has Ricky, I think) without any problems, whatsoever.

So if you´re only doing a track event or two next year £35 is a bargain. thumbsup

I thought they were OK 'til I tried Pagids...

i'd agree with Foxy, except they are not that bad on a track.

however, once you have felt the pagids you will understand how poor the EBC's are in comparrison.

Generally not much difference in price but I heartily recommend Performance Braking in Monmouth: Singleton Court Business Centre Wonastow Road Monmouth Monmouthshire NP25 5JA Tel: 01600 713117 Ask to speak to John Freeth if you can (he's the main man and really knows his stuff). Can you ask him about my ally bells & disks if you do call them too ! You'll be wanting RS14 pads all round - unless you want to be brave like me and try 14s on the front and 15s on the back B)

I think the balance is spot on now.. can feel the rears doing more and so the car pulls down much squarer

There are downsides to the Pagids of course, namely the mess they make of the wheels and the squeaking when going slow. To me its a small price to pay for brakes that really work and more importantly keep on working no matter how much abuse you give them

Are you running standard disks on your car ?

Yep standard discs, untill yours turn up. :D Standard discs will be fine i take it, i guess i will go through discs quicker than pads? Mess and squeaking, like you say a small price to pay. Sounds good , gonna def go for the mix of pads. thumbsup

Standard OEM disks are probably the best option until the seperate bells/disks come along. They are a nightmare with EBC grooved I can tell you.. the noise they make wakes up entire villages when you hit them to get down to 30mph

Andy, have you been given any idea when the disks will be available?

Seems to be a lot of talk about EBC and Pagid but not really any mention of Mintex 1144. I'm running 1144s and the difference between these and EBC is like night and day. They really are in a different league to the EBC Greenstuff. Never tried Pagid but they are twice the price and I find it hard to understand how they could be twice as good. If budget is an option, 1144s might be worth a try (around £100 for a full set).

Will ring him this week to get an update if Sam doesn't find out anything useful for me thumbsup

Just before Xmas the disk castings were back and he was waiting for the bells to come back from machine shop, hopefully should be any day soon
