Never tried Pagid but they are twice the price and I find it hard to understand how they could be twice as good. If budget is an option, 1144s might be worth a try (around £100 for a full set).

Might try those instead £200 is a bit steep.

Andy I think you were going to publish some specs on the disks/bells? Can I give you a gentle nudge please? Regards - Ian

thumbsup Pagids are now ordered, should be here tommorow am.

Andy i asked after the progress on your bells and disks and John said something like "no progress at the mo" i think they are moving offices and stuff at the moment so they are pretty much all fingers and thumbs, i'm sure when i mentioned your name i heard him mutter "Tosser" under his breath. :P :poke:

thumbsup Nice bloke John, definately knows a fair bit about brakes, but don't he go on and on and on and on.

No wonder you wanted me to chase up your parts. :D

Bless 'em ! Make a crackin' cup of tea too thumbsup I guess I should've got back to him with feedback on the 15/14 split as I was just "trying them to see if it worked". As you found out though you need a fair few hours spare to ring them

I gave them your feedback as well. I said you felt the car was a bit quicker through the entire rev range and the brakes have added a guestimated 10 bhp. thumbsup You now owe me a tenner. :)

There are downsides to the Pagids of course, namely the mess they make of the wheels and the squeaking when going slow. To me its a small price to pay for brakes that really work and more importantly keep on working no matter how much abuse you give them

rant The mess is a nightmare. Having left them too long without cleaning they took hours to restore to anything like clean and now i feel as though i have to clean the wheels after every touch of the brakes - a small trip to tesco gets them buggered up again rant

There is a solution... Stop caring what the wheels look like. Go for brake pad anthracite :)

Plans Motorsport supply and will fit EBC, Mintex and Padgid. All three have been tested on their track. They will do mail order but will price match any UK price, including the postage, if they fit. They are also doing an AP racing disk conversion... about a million times better than the EBC disks...

I take it that bedding in the Pagids is just a case of taking it easy for 50-100 miles, or will that cause glazing.
