Use whatever excuse you need. The thought of Matt having a number of rattling items in his car is too much to bear.

Recieved mine this morning. chinky chinky

TBH I was expecting them to be shiny silver as pictured and that any one who wanted the newer 'hard anodised' ones that where given a brief mention in the other thread would have to specify such. Was I the only one under this impression, did I miss something? Those just buying the throttle pedal may be a bit miffed to find that it does not match as well as it could cosmetically.

Doesn't matter though I think I prefer them in grey anyway.

They seem very well made and a nice quality. I'll be fitting mine a bit later.

Very pleased with this GB so many thanks to all involved. thumbsup

Yeah, pictures of silver ones are all there is on the website. One of the bullet points even says Keep the "OEM ALU pack" style.

I'm guessing the originals have ceased production and the grey are the replacements? Should have been made clear one way or the other really as no pictures of the new style have ever been shown despite me requesting a photo for comparison in my post in the other thread.

As I said personally I like them grey anyway, my only concern with these is that over time the finish will show wear marks more and reveal the polished silver underneath...

Well I have fitted mine now (not a job I would be keen on doing again any time soon)and am pleased with the result, not driven with them yet though. I think I would have prefered the silver finish afterall, the matt surface seems to hold dirt more easilly and look grubby but never mind.

You'll need a 6mm socket on the back and a 3mm(?)allen key on the front. Getting the pedals on and off I found very easy but those rubber inserts where a pain! Popping them out was easy (just push them in the middle from behind)but pushing them into the new ones, grrr! :9mm:

I pulled the center plastic peg out with my teeth and then covered them in a glob of spit to lubricate and aid them pushing through.

The colour difference is clear (more so than the photo suggests) but it does not look too out of place.

Oh and make sure you clean any dirt out of the allen key heads and seat the key fully in or it will be easy to round them off.
