Bump. So does the CMS pulley system have everything I need or is the MMG much superior?
I just bought the pulley and the belt from CMS , local garage fitted it with no other bits needed.

Hello all!
I had to sign up here after a quick Googling led me to this thread. I was looking to see how your alternator drive arrangements worked on the VXT.
I have been developing parts for the mk4 and 5 Astra's for a while now, and we have a couple of different options for them as regards air con removal and under drive pulley arrangements;
The first is the simple single run belt affair, shown earlier in this thread by somebody else. I see that this kit for the VX costs £150 though! Our kit to do this includes a nicer looking pulley and is £100 if bought from our website directly.
The more interesting one for you guys, I would think, would be our Air con delete kit for the Astra. It allows you to retain the original tensioner instead of having to slot and manually adjust the alternator. These are £135 for the Astra.
The A/C Delete kit is shown below, albeit with the older style pulley (we are now on the pullies shown in the links above. I should really get a new picture of the full set up!) If this looks like the same arrangement as the VX220 uses, and you fancy trying one out, give me an email at --- Sales (AT) RNDMotorsport co uk
Feel free to browse the website, too. We are working on sorting the VX220 section out a bit, as it is all just thrown in one area at the moment! Browse the Astra G Z20LET engine section if you like, as it is more complete. Our address is www.RnDMotorsport.co.uk.
You can also find us on Ebay, username RnDMotorsport231.
Hope to hear from some of you VX guys, certainly be more interesting than Astra's! All the best - Mark

Nicely made pulleys. Are the produced in house, and if so would you be open to producing other pulleys? I ask because there's been some attention recently on finding 6 rib pullies for the Z22SE (for supercharger conversions), alternator underdrive pulleys and the constant demand for supercharger pulleys. All of which at the moment are imported from the US.

Ha ha, I see how you thought I meant that!
It is an Air con delete kit FOR AN ASTRA! But when used on a VX220 I guess it would become a "Lame idler in place of A/C pump delete, with the added benefit of being under drive, kit"
I stress again that I haven't had one fitted to a VX220 though, only had people fit our under drive pulley with the straight belt arrangement so far. I just think it really looks like it would fit them, even the belts are listed as being the same length, and thought I'd mention due to how many of you seem to have posted about this.
Fezzasus - They are produced out of house currently, I do aim to eventually have the provisions to do them though.
I like the 6 rib idea, guessing they are 5's like the LET's standard then? Widened for the extra drive, good work! Standard diameter still? What happens to the alternator in this arrangement then (guessing you'd need a pulley for that too) ? Got a link to a good thread with pictures about it (I'll search, but you'll know where to look!)?
If you can get a spare pulley of whichever type you want to me I can make a drawing of it and then try to fit a batch in around our other parts. They won't be incredibly expensive that way.
Are there any of you here using that crazy Dutch guy's new Firmware for the Z22SE's ecu then? Seems a brilliant option, if only it were available for the Motronic!
