My car (previously owned on here, and modded by someone else) has a full 2.5" Tullet zorst, 2.4 manifold, CAI kit, uprated fuel pump and CMS remap, and made ~165hp / 160lb/ft. So perhaps 185hp is slightly optimistic (or my car could have been mapped better..)

The 185 with just bolt ons, is a dutch remap only.
Hence the fuss of this topic to start with, that it's going to be branched outside of the netherlands.

Yeah, but is it ~20hp better.. Sorry. I was looking at CMS for the SC remap, rather than the common or garden NA remap..

So perhaps 185hp is slightly optimistic (or my car could have been mapped better..)

TMS managed to get MartinS and my (and maybe Karlosfandango's) NA's to ~185bhp. As far as I'm aware they're the only people that have managed to get it up to that kind of region. Mine later measured at 182bhp on Courtenays dyno. It wasn't the finest bit of mapping ever, though.

On the ability to tweak the 2.2 ECU outside CMS, this would be a major one for me trying to get there from Aberdeen. In fact toting it up, the cost of the pre-map, full mapping, fuel and associated costs, not to mention ~20 hours driving, puts the cost of things into cheap stan Dalone territory, although I appreiciate I'm a farily extreme case in the UK

Still wont help if the UK "agent" they do a deal with is based in North Walsham or somewhere else down south though.

Not sure there is such a thing as a cheap standalone. I've been looking for 4 years and the cheapest setup with ETB support (which I would want to keep) is likely going to be >=£1500 by the time the loom is done, the trigger wheel is fitted, ignition sorted and initial mapping is done. The greatest hope is that we'll get the turdo ECU working and at least have something resembling full control of the ECU (although that may still mean it's a Courtenay visit).

Breaking the DAMOS file on the Z22SE surely is a good thing as we can map the SC cars better or have I missed something?

the DAMOS file is still pretty much locked solid, this is totally new software which wipes the GM stuff away

It's not a complete new software, but his special "operating system" makes (some of) the GM tables acccessible. (see site) A big step forward for the Z22SE and should also work good with SC conversions, especially when he finishes his "speed density" modification.
But was a bit to pricey for me here in NL, so very curious now what comes out of the UK franchise. thumbsup
(Might change my HP Tuners / LSJ ecu conversion project if this gets interesting...)

As I understand it, there's also other good things with this crack. -You get a much faster and responsive throttle motor. -You can remove the EGR from the map (without sheater). -Hopefully remove the second lambda sensor (and eml-light). -raise max rpm
