Really sorry to hear this :( I echo others above saying they don't like seeing VX's in that state. Still, you are unharmed and young enough to buy plenty more VX's so all is good! ;). Chin up, dude.

Cheers pal. Still haven't heardback from the insurers, but the more I read about this toe link failure occurance it seems to be that. Just saw a video of it happening to an elise on track and it just seems ot makesense it would cause me to spin the way it did. How else could it spin o nthe spot without leaving any tyre marks :S Gutted a mechanical fault has cost me my VX but thankful there wasn't a lorry on the outside of me or a pedestrian on the path. Love this community :grouphug: I drove my astra coupe to work friday after a day off thursday from concussion and I can't believe how boring regular cars are. That thing is by no means slow but wow, power steering is so dull :(

Update - managed to get a payout of £7025 after and initial offer of £6250!!! That is however nearly £1000 less than I paid just 6 months ago - which apparently means nothing. So essentially if you have a car which is worth below the average amount for that model, go and crash it and you'll make more moeny - stupid system :/ The car is going onto Eliz whos breaking for parts, so there should be some nice parts going up for sale shortly. Fairly pleased with how smoothly its gone and I hope to be back in ownership in Feb/March when the weather has warmed up a little - although I'm sure August will tempt me to shift some funds around just to get one for the remainder of this summer. Unfortunately admiral didn't go and investigate the toe link failure as the accident didn't cause too much damage. Thanks for the support guys.

Sounds incredibly irritating with regards to the offer that does... But as you well know, there are many around at the moment for very little cash, so you could get back in one with cash to spare!

It is actually cat C.
However, I wouldn't trust admiral too much as it was quite an impact into a lamp postso I wouldn't be surprised if there is damage deeper down.
Probably off the road for the best.

Also - having looked at a few videos of toe link failures, it looks so so similar so I think I know the first thing I'll be upgrading when I'm back into ownership.

The damage will be assessed before we decide what to do with it, we have repaired a number of them you know
As myself and Rick have found out on more that one occasion, the damage may look not that hefty, but as soon as they are examined more closely, its surprising what other damage it causes, which isn't visible with all the panels on thumbsup
