I got the 3 piece kit from edel car parts about 5 years ago

http://www.ms-edel-c...ameset_shop.htm

and to be honest it was pretty simple to fit. One piece is a bit more challenging but by the looks of this not nearly as difficult as some would like to make out.

Just this second finished mine. Bought the vinyl from eBay for about 7 quid. I must say I'm so impressed with the results. Took about an hour and a half with 2 of us doing it and honestly it wasn't that hard !! A few minor bits I would do differently if I were to do it again but overall it's nearly perfect. Wouldn't have even bothered trying if it wasn't for this guide, so that's for the motivation and an excellent guide !!! Will post pics when I get home of the results.

Is it just me or do the black surrounds on the silver cars just look a bit pants? Body colour surround ftw.

It's just you. Although for some reason it does come accross as looking a bit odd in RUmbleys last pic, maybe the lighting?

My results are pictured below which I am happy enough with. It took me about half an hour and I found it very simple to do. The few imperfections I do have where more down to the roll of vinyl being creased up in the post. These could not be fully smoothed out and where towards the edges so had to be used. :angry2:

A couple of things I would add to the instructions is to make sure you give the whole area a good scrub and degrease to clear any bits of grit which will show through if trapped underneath and it will also give the film every chance of sticking properly.

Leave plenty of overlap on the inside edge as the surround can be flexed up and it tucked underneath creating a perfect edge.

I was sorely tempted to get my primer done with a black surround but thought this as well. The silver surround is a good match as is, so standard it will stay for me.

Done mine today. Took about an hour and a bit. First time i've wrapped something. Only problem i had was trying to get the edges neat on the window side, tiny bit raggy but it will do... hope it doesnt peal. Does anyone elses vinyl look greesey if you touch it with your hands?
